Sun MEADOW

Sun Meadow Farm—produce and event space

Sun Meadow supplies eggs year-round to a short list of customers. You will see our hens free-ranging around the farm. We sell ‘flicked’—but not washed—eggs, because the protective bloom/cuticle eliminates the need to refrigerate Sun Meadow eggs. Yes, the varied species of hens all have names and Barcelona knows her name.

At Sun Meadow, we sell or swap self-seeding kale and arugula along with perennial strawberries, chives, and herbs. Each year, tomatoes, squashes, beans, beets, and many other vegetables are planted.

The meadow provides six months of native, pollinator-supporting wildflowers. Due to the large natural supply of flowers on the six+ acres, fresh bouquets are often for sale.

Let us show you the indoor and outdoor event spaces. We support a growers-exchange in the lower Big Barn and have a wood working space for rent. We rough board just the right horses and sheep.

WRITING

Writing stories and grants

Grant writing is available to non-profits in the fields of education, conservation, and preservation. The success rate of these grant applications is extraordinarily high. Editing and content creation is also available; co-authoring projects are welcomed.

As a member of the National Pen Women and the Greenwich Chapter, Laurie has led several community-wide book conversations and actively helps others edit manuscripts. Laurie is always interested in others' writing projects, is happiest as a co-author, and has sections of two novels parked on her computer, alongside the ever-growing “Stories from the Farm.
