Crossfield Concepts
A multi-dimensional small business in Redding Ridge, Connecticut
At Crossfield Concepts, we have been involved with what nature created for over twenty-five years. We operate out of an historic, riverside farm surrounded by a native meadow. Crossfield Concepts:
- offers sessions in gem education and reviews jewelry collections
- creates new and refashions unused jewelry
- sells produce and offers space for events, woodworking, and animal boarding
Additionally, Crossfield provides writing services for stories and grants, and manuscript editing.
Gemological education, mineral sales, and jewelry refashioning
We offer personalized sessions to bump up your gem expertise, to review and learn from your jewelry collection and to create new and re-fashion unused jewelry. Gemologists introduce clients to new colored stones, including lesser-known but more beautiful gems as well as less faceted, old-faceted and non-faceted gemstones. Clients learn about new places to find stones; from mines to dealer websites to the backrooms of NYC's diamond/gem district.
Event space, farm produce, work space, and boarding
Sun Meadow supplies eggs year-round to a short list of customers. We sell or swap perennial kale, arugula, strawberries, chives, and herbs. Tomatoes, squashes, beans, beets, and many other vegetables are grown annually. Various farm spaces are rentable.
Writing stories and grants
Grant-writing is available to non-profits in the fields of education, conservation and preservation. The success rate of these grant applications is extraordinarily high. Editing and content creation is also available; co-authoring projects are welcomed.
